How do I start recording?
Tap the microphone button on the main screen. Whisper Act will ask for microphone and speech recognition permissions on your first recording — allow both for full functionality. Speak naturally, then tap again to stop.
Why aren't my tasks showing up in Apple Reminders or Calendar?
Reminders and Calendar sync requires a Whisper Act Pro subscription. You also need to grant Reminders and Calendar permissions when prompted. Check Settings → Privacy & Security on your iPhone to confirm both are allowed.
What is Re-Analyze and when does it appear?
If you recorded a memo while offline, it was processed by our built-in offline AI. When you come back online, a "Re-Analyze with Cloud AI" button appears on the memo — tapping it re-processes your memo with advanced cloud AI for higher accuracy. This is a Pro feature.
Does Whisper Act work without an internet connection?
Yes. Recording and task extraction both work offline. On iOS 26 devices, transcription is fully on-device regardless of connectivity. On other devices, offline recording is capped at 60 seconds. Cloud AI extraction is replaced by built-in offline AI when there is no connection.
Is my voice data private?
Yes. Audio is never uploaded by Whisper Act. On supported iOS 26 devices, transcription is entirely on-device. On other devices, transcription may use Apple's speech servers — the same pipeline as Siri. Only the resulting text is sent to our cloud AI for task extraction, and it is not linked to your identity in any way.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Open the Settings app on your iPhone → tap your name → Subscriptions → Whisper Act → Cancel Subscription. You can also manage subscriptions directly from within the app under Settings → Manage Subscription.
I lost my purchase after reinstalling. How do I restore?
Open Whisper Act → tap the paywall → tap "Restore" at the bottom. Your subscription will be restored automatically as long as you are signed into the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.
How do I delete all my data?
Go to Settings inside Whisper Act and tap "Delete All Data". This permanently removes all memos and tasks from your device and iCloud. This action cannot be undone.
